B-Roll and Standup

One of my most important video assignments in my program is learning how to shoot B-roll and standup footage that tells a story by organizing individual scenes into a sequence.

Here is an example of multimedia I recorded for a story involving a pharmacy in my local community.

Sound on Tape

I have also been taught how to present a story simply through the use of interview clips combined with B-Roll.

This example features planning involved for a curling tournament for teachers and other education employees in Crapaud, P.E.I., presented in a playful format.

Short Movie Reviews

My YouTube channel is largely dedicated to short reviews of movies I watch in cinema and streaming platforms. I have interacted with many viewers and even filmmakers of the movies I review.

This example is one of my most popular videos, where I had the chance to receive feedback from viewers across the world!

Long Form Reviews

Occasionally, when I am passionate about content I review, I create a longer, more expansive type of review with more sophisticated editing involved.

This is one example where I review one movie from a series with more involved techniques like voiceovers, text and visual elements, and even comedic timing to add personality.
